my eventful london trip

London second time around

Last year I went to London for the first time since I was 12 and that was a school trip to a museum very boring for a 12 year old. I was so excited to go for 4 days most of all to see the killers at Wembley, the concert was amazing though the next 3 days weren't great as I was sick so couldn't really sight see and was stuck in the hotel for 3 day, only the last day I got to see Queenie's place (Buckingham palace) so me and my mum went for a second go good Friday to see all the things we missed first time round.

I bought a new outfit for the trip nothing fancy just skinny jeans floral Cami top and new trainers   so my feet were comfy as we were going to be doing a LOT of walking, I even wore them in around the house so you would think I was being practical oh no!

I've always had a problem buying shoes they cut my feet to shedding literally, but you would think trainers would be OK right no big mistake.

It got off to a great start is wasn't sick and was excited for the day out, we got off the train and headed straight to Hyde park it was a beautiful day though so chilly the weather was deceiving  you would never think that with  the amount of men were running passed us in there short shorts (not a good look on a man).

We then went out of the park to oxford street and then heading to  regents park to go to London zoo (I'm a big kid) really wanted to see the new tigers there. well on the way my feet were a bit sore and I could see blood coming through my lovely new white trainers so popped into boots to get some compeed, they were good on my heels but you no the rubber bit on top covering your toes? trainers like converse well that was putting pressure on my big toe nails but I was walking through the pain until we got to regents park where the pain become unbearable but like a trooper I pushed through the pain to go to the zoo  I was determined to go this time, bad idea looking back as by the time we came out I could barely walk from the pain I was panting like a woman in labour trying to get through the pain.

I managed to walk (took me an hour ) stopping on nearly every bench on the way to marks and Spencer's for a hot chocolate to warm us up from the freezing cold of the park trying not to get my feet stepped on walking threw the crowds. we finally made it where I then proceeded to break down in tears from the pain I refused to move for an hour as I couldn't walk any more.
mum finally got me to move love her were we went  to the train station and sat there  for hours having food in one of  the pubs having a  couple vodka and cokes for medical reasons of course it helped with the pain.

we were in London for 9 hours and barely saw or did any thing another disappointing trip but I was so glad to get on the train and get home I was so scared to take my trainers off and for good reason my nail was purple and dying off and my feet were cut to ribbons. moral to the story no mater how much you wear new trainers around the house makes no difference when your walking for hours.

Though  I have had two terrible trips to London I'm not giving up I will go again to see the sights we never saw never give up on things you really want.

To finish off what was already an awful day bar the meal and one to many drinks as we came into the train station in Cardiff a drunk guy fell into the side of the train his head bounced on the window and he fell on the floor he's lucky he didn't fall on the tracks think he was OK I'm guessing he had one might of all sore heads the next day.

Here is a few pictures  managed to get

Traditional red phone box on the way walking to regents park
Beautiful flowers and water features in regents park

Gorgeous tree in Hyde park full of white buds

 London zoo

One of the lesser but still gross cuts on my feet :(

festival essentails

The festival season has arrives with coachelle so wish I was there right now but looking forward to v-festival in the UK in the summer here are some essentials that you will need.

keep your clothing light and flowy in the heat dancing and drinking a little too much  you don't want to be getting over heated so light cotton dresses t-shirts and shorts and kimono are effect to cover up from the sun but light enough so you wont over heat and  will keep you feeling fresh in the summer sun.

ankle booties are a must either if its sunny or raining (in the UK) will make your feet happy

always take a hat and sunglasses to protect your face from the sun

lastly a ruck sake so your hands free to eat drink and especially dance :)
